Transparent PMMA

Acrylic (PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate) is a commonly used plastic material, known for its excellent transparency and machining performance.

The surface of acrylic material may become blurred or fogged after machining. Use sandpaper or other grinding tools to physically grind the acrylic surface to remove scratches and fogging on the surface and restore its gloss and transparency.

Design Considerations

Pay attention to the temperature during the transparent PMMA process to avoid discoloration or deformation of acrylic due to overheating.
Keep the transparent PMMA cloth/pad and the acrylic surface moist to avoid overheating caused by friction.
For acrylic products with curved or irregular shapes, choose suitable transparent PMMA tools to ensure uniform transparent PMMA.
Avoiding uneven gloss or water mark marks caused by improper transparent PMMA requires carefulness and patience.
Since PMMA is prone to static electricity, pay attention to prevent static powder from affecting the surface when transparent PMMA, and antistatic agent can be used.
Additional surface finishing may be required after transparent PMMA, such as cleaning, coating or other surface protection measures.
